We Need Parent Volunteers!

Thank you to all the parents that have completed our volunteer survey!

We have a few committees open that need parent chairperson volunteers. As you know, we rely heavily on parent participation to keep these programs operating for the students.

We are looking for parents to lead the following committees: 2nd Grade Bike Rodeo, Picture Day, Soup Lunches for Teachers on Conference Days, Yearbook, Art Awareness, After 3, Spirit Wear and Fun Fair.

Please help us keep these amazing programs going for the students of Spring! Email staceyponczek@gmail.com or jamibuttron@gmail.com to volunteer or learn more about these roles.

IMPORTANT SPRING PTO UPDATES!

IMPORTANT SPRING PTO UPDATES!

Save the date for our last PTO meeting of the year, Wednesday, May 13th at 7p. To ensure student privacy, please email Mr. Lawson for Zoom meeting room login information. We will have the SPTO scholarship winners read their essays and acknowledge all of our amazing volunteers.

D105 will be organizing Teacher Appreciation week this year. Five families from each school will be selected to participate in a fun video that will be sent to all district staff. Keep an eye out for information from Mr. Lawson, he will be encouraging Spring students to send pictures and videos through Edmodo for the whole school to enjoy.

D105 is planning special recognition for graduating 6th and 8th graders. More information to come!

Make sure to tune into our last PTO meeting. We will have more updates on yearbooks, Summer Reading Program and more!

Refunds for Cancelled Events

With Governor Pritzker’s recent announcement of the state-wide school closings for the remainder of the academic year, the PTO is issuing refunds for the Trivia Night fundraiser and the May 28th Fun Lunch. You will receive confirmations via email. Please contact Stacey Ponczek or Kate Gilmartin with refund inquiries.

Prizes for box tops will be delivered to the winners’ mailboxes next week.

Our volunteers are working to adjust plans for the year end events like 6th grade Stepping Up and Teacher Appreciation week. We will celebrate virtually and reschedule where possible. While this will be a year to remember, help us plan an even better one by signing up to volunteer for our various roles. We need lots of volunteers to pull off a successful year and we owe it to the kids to make it better than ever!
